This life size statue was commissioned by the Knights of Columbus. The body of Fr. McGivney was exhumed for the Centennial of the chartering of the K of C, and the likeness was made from forensic remains since no suitable photographs existed. Father McGivney is depicted protecting an orphan child, one of the organization's many popular charities. The names of 1000 KC donors are inscribed in the solid granite base.
