There are many people in Internet web design who are light years ahead of my HTML skills. (for now) But there is nobody on this planet who can draw better than I can, both on paper and computer. So when you mix lifetime artistic drawing skills like mine with an application like Photoshop, you get the best "photographic surgery" in the world. No "Plug-Ins" needed, it is all skill, experience and intuition. In the same league with Spielberg, yet much more affordable to the masses. I do not publicly post my "fine art" pages, they are only available by invitation (inquire if interested). But the point is, my terminal degree, university teaching experience, and fine art awards demonstrate competency far beyond the requirements of mere image manipulation. After years of experience, this is easy stuff for me, so I can do it fast. And flawlessly. There are experts who say they can identify any "altered" photograph. Not with my HQ edits*. If I am doing a dot-by-dot reconstruction nobody will be able to identify mine as altered unless I intentionally leave them a clue in the subject matter itself. (ie; such as a dated newspaper) Therefore, if you have a photo of yourself and want to "lose weight", change hair color, remove blemishes or "adjust the nose" I can handle the plastic surgery better and faster than anyone in the world. Painless instant 2-D breast implants! =) If you have a family photo and want to remove the black sheep, I can take him out of the picture without a trace, or replace him/her with anyone or anything else you desire. If you want a photo of you and John Belushi arm in arm, no problem at all. Or If you have old family photos that are damaged, I can repair it, even sepia or b/w prints. No matter what kind, or extent of damage! If you just want the (hard copy) photograph (or electronic image file) revised for photo quality printing or internet use, the cost is relatively low, because it takes me only minutes. Such services can be conducted by e-mail. If you want microscopic detail that will pass any scrutiny, the cost is higher, since that takes hours, not just minutes. This page contains some of my photo "corrections" with the original copy so you can see what kind of "revisions" and "corrections" are possible. First to give you an idea of the level of competency, the apples you selected from to get to this page were made from scratch! They are not photographs! I tried to photograph some apples, but they are out of season, and the only ones available were not as sexy and luscious as I wanted them to be. So I just painted my own in a blank Photoshop document. It took me 23 minutes to make both apples.

Is this a lie? Is there some egotistical "crime" in altering photographs to get a more complimentary image? Philosophically and technically, the answer is clearly no. All photographs are lies! They do NOT represent "reality" at all. Photos will always be monstrous abominations of reality, because the camera sees with only one "eye". Humans see with two eyes, so we see a far more complex, dimensional, stereoscopic world than any camera can ever be capable of. Already, that proves photographs are not "real". Then, consider the natural "distortions" that cameras ALWAYS cause: For example, in the photo above; flash photography grotesquely distorted ALL forms (as usual) The world, and planets are in constant motion. Photos of comets, birds, vehicles are always in a blur. It is the same with all the living inhabitants of this universe, except perhaps snails. They are moving, breathing, walking, talking, ... living yet the camera "sees" only the blind ignorant bliss of a fraction of a second. Thus, cameras only capture death in detail. They cannot truly capture "life" at all! The camera is the dumbest and most menacing tool man ever invented. Because people are busy breathing and moving while the camera "captures" its small, limited piece of time, in its small limited periphery, the chests, biceps, waists, faces, and drapery of people are always stretched on the film. People get wider, fatter, ...and "uglier". In the photo above, the wind is blowing, so the lighter fabric of the dress on the left became obscured. The women are breathing, living, having fun, and moving while the camera shutter is open, so the arms got HUGE, and the waists did too. In the photo on the right, all this has been corrected. The results are not "lies" at all. Indeed, they are closer to the truth than the camera was, because I know these women, and they are quite slim, as I restored them to be!

OVERWEIGHT? Click on the above image to see a detailed photo reconstruction of an unfortunate victim of excess weight This lady is one of the sweetest persons I have met on line, but due to an ankle injury and extended recovery time, she had a weight problem that overwhelms her efforts to fight it. I made a photo of what my anatomical knowledge and intuition tells me she "would certainly look like". And now with this interpretation, she is quickly living up to my prophesy, losing weight very quickly. Why? Because this service can definitely return self-esteem to someone who needs to "see" a spiritual and physical "goal" to aim for. It makes the fight much easier, when you can "taste its reward in advance". I will post her real photo when she finishes her reducing quest, so we can see how accurate this "visual forecast" is. In this corrected photo, you will notice it is not enough to simply change the body form. You must also replace the background and textures that are "uncovered" by the shrinking body. "Visual noise" and "clutter" like the door frame are removed. Even the reflections in the glass are cleaned up, enhanced, and a much more interesting "beach scene" is added. I have searched extensively on the web for any "competition" in this service. It does not exist at all. You would have to contract with something like Spielberg Studios to get this kind of quality, but who can afford that? My service is a strictly a "pay if you like it deal". MEDICAL CONDITION: click here to see a photo reconstruction of an unfortunate victim of Myasthemia Gravis This guy is a very creative genius I met in Romania whom has been plagued by MG most of his life. MG (which also attacks muscle tissue and exaggerates the effects of gravity) has grossly disfigured his face, and the cortisone treatment has equally disrupted the skin. I used my anatomical background here (dissection, bones, muscles, formaldehyde, and 2 yrs. pre-med) to predict what this fellow's face would look like without the ravages of MG.

Even though I asked everyone to sit still one second, nobody complied! So there were several moving, blurred people either removed or reconstructed in this photograph against a complex background. ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL: click here to see a photo retouch of Bucharest's Hotel Intercontinental. The new modern hotel has been a Bucharest landmark for years, but the surrounding area is unkempt, neglected, uncared for, and generally looks like a gypsy campground. The before and after photos show how I "planted a few flowers", removed a few signs, "rebuilt" a shabby apartment complex, and tidied up the telephone lines... Nothing about the hotel is a "lie" (I only enhanced it a bit, and clarified the neon sign). This is just a better "frame" to present the hotel "picture".

FLOOD CONTROL: This photo of Castle was taken during the great Colorado River flood of 1991-1992, when I was stranded aboard with my castle. * About the images. HQ edit files are too large to be on this web site, so I have placed low density files on line here. If I load high density files, your download speed will suffer, so I load only images designed for 32k colors (reset your monitor for best results) Generally, HQ files are .5 Mb or larger. (this whole website, 97 pages and all the images are less than 1 Mb). Finished products sustain close scrutiny with millions of colors. But of course, any image can likewise be scaled up or down, to whatever file size or density you desire. Important notice about web design: If you want a web page to market your products on the internet, do you want anyone to get a blank page after all you pay for a web design? No. You want EVERY visitor to see your message! Therefore, you will agree that you want HTML and images that will appear on any PC the client uses to view your pages. That is what I offer. I notice people with extraordinary HTML skills usually have little sense of aesthetics or practicality. They usually use MS products. That in itself shows poor taste. MS is the cheapest software because it is the sloppiest and most arrogant software. In anything that incorporates the word design, the aesthetic quality is the most important factor. Especially since any monkey can now use WYSIWYG editors like Front Page (only UNprofessionals use MS software for any design uses). WYSIWYG in MS applies only to people who use MS products to view it! In Netscape or Mosaic, all Front Page documents look terrible, function poorly and are very FAT (and therefore) very slow. What is worse, many pages do not function at all! (You get a blank page). Because MS Internet Explorer has no respect for any other software, only theirs. They are the last browser to arrive on the market, and refuse to use any preexisting, agreed, design and use conventions. They want to make a private proprietary club in which only MS software will function

So if you want web design that will reach ALL visitors to your site (the majority of the creative people on this planet use Macs, and despise Microsoft) you cannot allow anyone to make web designs for public use solely with MS design products. It will embarrass you when a Mac user, Unix user, Sun user, Linux user, or a Netscape user visits your page. This page was made to work in EVERY browser, with or without Java enabled. All of my web pages will look exactly the same in Internet Explorer as it will in Netscape, iCab, Lynx, Mosaic, Opera or AOL, and there is no structural difference between the images you see on this page in any operating system (see my comments/notes about special html design for this purpose) It is absurd to pay someone for a website that only functions with one-third of the visitors you may get (Internet Explorer is now used by only 1/3 of the world''s PC's, since more people use Netscape/and/OR non-MS OS). Mosaic was the first internet browser, Netscape was the first world wide web browser, and IE came into the browser business 10 years later. It is still in the stone age, and just as full of bugs as Windows is known to be. So if you don't use our web design services, at least make sure your contractor does not use Microsoft! If you see "this page looks best in IE" on a page, you know you are dealing with idiots. Even MS.COM looks better on Netscape! Fact. If you already have MS-designed pages, go tell them you want 2/3 of your money back, since that is how many potential customers you are losing each day! I will be happy to prove the case for you. I have a single multi-processor PC that can run all common Operating Systems simultaneously (Mac, Windows, DOS, Linux, and Unix) , and all browsers (Mosaic, Netscape, IE, AOL, etc.) so we can read and see all the differences! Easy to compare results. You will be as anti-Microsoft as I am once you see how poorly it performs compared to anything else! The image processing in windows is actually based only on BMP. Everything else (JPEG, GIF, PCT, etc.) is translated very poorly. BMP is the least efficient image protocol in computer history, but MS uses it because it does not have to pay royalties like it does with GIFs. This is the reason Linux has won the PC OS battle in 2000. Linux, like Mac, is compatibility-oriented, and far more universal.
