*A note about "British English" and "US English". They are really two totally different languages! Culturally and (even in spelling rules) just as different as German and Dutch. If you have a spelling checker try it on these US/UK rift examples: Color/Colour; Organization/Organisation; Favor/Favour; Realize/Realise; Utilize/Utilise. The first version is US English and the second for each is UK English. Not only are they spelled differently, even the definition and usage lacks common applications. The British and Americans are great friends, but the languages have evolved separately over 300 years, with a vast sea between them. Now, friendship stops at the language spelling, pronunciation, and definition in these two cultures. All linguist agree these are now two totally different languages! Americans LAUGH at people who spell color with a "u", assuming they are illiterate, and the British are the same way about people who spell "their" language "wrong". It is a natural cultural prejudice. Such things will never change, the differences will only become more distinct.

Consider the sensitivity of popular terminology, how different the technical terms are: In the US, the part of the car you put your luggage in is called a "trunk", and what you wear in the rain is called "boots". But in Britain, the place FOR the luggage in a car is called the "boot" and the TRUNK is what you put INSIDE the "boot"! What you wear in the rain is "rubbers". Use that word in an American letter and you have a cultural catastrophe, because it means something VERY RUDE ("PREZERVATIV" in Romanian, or "prophylactic" in the USA). So you see, it is VERY important NOT to get a bad translation because it can make you look VERY stupid. Can you afford to have a translator with experience in only one culture translating your documents? No. It can be very hazardous to your reputation. If your web page has gross grammatical or spelling errors, you look illiterate! If you appear to be illiterate, you are not going to get a good response from your audience, nor will you sell your product! We understand ALL these problems.
