| I did not like the lopsided composition of this
photo at all, nor the fact that the woman was bigger than the castle (literally
& figuratively), nor the clutter of the Bar B Q pit, or the lack of
clarity that the castle was floating, nor that the deck was visible (being
pulled up into view by the flood tension). The deck was typically submerged
just below the water line for illusory and reflective appearance, by pumping
in water ballast to buoyancy tanks. But I had to keep the tanks empty to
reduce the below-water -level profile, and thus, floodwater flow force,
or it would have snapped the trees off and sent me to the Gulf of Mexico!
Yet, much of this "appearance" displeased me. . . .
So, I just changed it all to my liking! I cut the picture in half digitally and reassembled it, removing tree clutter, a few kilos from the observer, left the police ribbon, added a perm to the newly trimmed lady, etc. etc. . .Life is a State of Mind. This is a more clarified aesthetic "version" of reality. Makeup! My "history" photo album has original. This version is for Web consumption. Unlike paintbrushes, cameras have no flexibility, thus, no Imagination :) |
